At my holy ordination I spoke of the innocence, unconditional love, trust, peace and joy of children. Their unbridled honesty can serve as reminders for all of us about how to remember the truth of ourselves and each other.
“Look to the child. And then remember the child within yourself and each other; that part of us that simply wants to be accepted for the truth of our Self; that part that says, ‘Please don’t look at the outer me. See the true, inner me;’ that part that has been scarred, scared and who simply needs the space to be, who simply needs to be accepted and loved for the essence of our souls..if you would just “see with your heart.”
